This recent work explores the textures and qualities of forests, at macro and micro scales. The work examines the textures of bark , the elemental nature of trees against the sky, and the part to whole relationships of trees to forests through watercolor, printmaking and collage. The resulting work is an attempt to describe the forest through many lenses, celebrating the unique character of individual trees through marks and color.
